Rodrigo Cavaca initially pursued athletics as a soccer player before discovering his passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He began his martial arts journey at Integração Jiu Jitsu Team in Santos, Brazil, under the mentorship of Élcio Figueiredo. Demonstrating exceptional dedication and rapid technical growth, Cavaca earned his black belt on October 28, 2005, marking the start of an illustrious competitive grappling career.
