As a 9th-degree red belt grandmaster, Rorion serves as an advisor and mentor at Gracie University HQ in Torrance, California, operated by his sons, Ryron Gracie and Rener Gracie. Under his guidance, the Gracie University platform has expanded significantly, establishing over 200 Certified Training Centers worldwide. In 2022, a rare photograph surfaced showing Rorion training alongside his legendary father, Helio Gracie, underscoring his position as one of Helio's closest protégés. In recognition of his extensive contributions to martial arts, Rorion was honored by the Rio de Janeiro city council in 2023. Although typically modest regarding personal accolades, he accepted this honor on behalf of the entire Gracie family, acknowledging their collective impact on the global growth and recognition of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

In late 2023, Rorion appeared on the Brazilian podcast "Inteligência Ltda," where he explained the unique Gracie family naming tradition. According to Rorion, his uncle Carlos Gracie believed certain letters—specifically R, C, and K—carried stronger energy vibrations. Carlos insisted each child receive a unique name beginning with one of these powerful letters, ensuring no two Gracies shared the same name. This tradition aimed to inspire each family member to forge their own distinct path in life.
